Hello guys! This time I want to share a story made by the Grimm Brother, titled "Straw, Coal, and Bean". I hope you'll enjoy it ;)
--------------------------------------
An old woman lived in a village. She had gathered a serving of beans and wanted to cook them, so she prepared a fire in her fireplace. To make it burn faster she lit it with a handful of straw. While she was pouring the beans into the pot, one of them fell unnoticed to the floor, coming to rest next to a piece of straw. Soon afterward a glowing coal jumped out of the fireplace and landed next to them.
The straw said, "Dear friends, where do you come from?"
The coal answered, "I jumped from the fireplace, to my good fortune. If I had not forced my way out, I surely would have died. I would have burned to ash."
The bean said, "I too saved my skin. If the old woman had gotten me into the pot I would have been cooked to mush without mercy, just like my comrades."
"Would my fate have been any better?" said the straw. "The old woman sent all my brothers up in fire and smoke. She grabbed sixty at once and killed them. Fortunately I slipped through her fingers."
"What should we do now?" asked the coal.
"Because we have so fortunately escaped death," answered the bean, "I think that we should join together as comrades. To prevent some new misfortune from befalling us here, let us together make our way to another land."
This proposal pleased the other two, and they set forth all together.
They soon came to a small brook, and because there was neither a bridge nor a walkway there, they did not know how they would get across it.
Then the straw had a good idea, and said, "I will lay myself across it, and you can walk across me like on a bridge."
So the straw stretched himself from one bank to the other. The coal, who was a hot-headed fellow, stepped brashly onto the newly constructed bridge, but when he got to the middle and heard the water rushing beneath him, he took fright, stopped, and did not dare to go any further.
Then the straw caught fire, broke into two pieces, and fell into the brook. The coal slid after him, hissed as he fell into the water, and gave up the ghost.
The bean who had cautiously stayed behind on the bank had to laugh at the event. He could not stop, and he laughed so fiercely that he burst. Now he too would have died, but fortunately a wandering tailor was there, resting near the brook. Having a compassionate heart, he got out a needle and thread and sewed the bean back together.
The bean thanked him most kindly. However, because he had used black thread, since that time all beans have had a black seam.

Moses and Khidir, there is always something better in this world
Once upon a time, someone came to prophet moses and ask him, "Moses replied: "No!", believing so, as Allah had
given him the power of miracles and honored him with the Torah.
However, Allah revealed to Moses that no man could know all
there is to know, nor would one messenger alone be the custodian of all
knowledge. There would always be another who knew what others did not. Moses
asked Allah: "0 Allah, where is this man? I would like to meet him and
learn from him." He also asked for a sign to this person's identity.
Allah instructed him to take a live fish in a water-filled
vessel. Where the fish disappeared, he would find the man he sought. Moses set
out on his journey, accompanied by a young man who carried the vessel with the
fish. They reached a place where two rivers met and decided to rest there.
Instantly, Moses fell asleep.
While he was asleep, his companion saw the fish wriggle out
of the vessel into the river and swim away. However, he forgot to relate this
incident to Moses. When he awoke, they continued their journey until they were
exhausted and hungry. Moses asked for his morning meal. Only then did his
companion recall that the fish they had brought with them had gotten away.
Hearing this, Moses exclaimed: 'This is exactly what we are seeking!" They
hurriedly retraced their steps to the place where the rivers met and where the
fish had jumped out. There they found a man, his face partly covered with a
hood. His bearing showed he was a saintly man. He was Al-Khidr, the guide.
Allah the Almighty narrated: And (remember) when Moses said
to his boy-servant: "I will not give up (traveling) until I reach the
junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in traveling."
But when they reached the junction of the two seas, they
forgot their fish, and it took its way throught the sea as in a tunnel. So when
they had passed further on (beyond that fixed place),
Moses said to his
boy-servant: "Bring us our morning meal; truly, we have suffered much
fatigue in this, our journey."
He said: "Do you remember when we betook ourselves to
the ock? I indeed forgot the fish, none but Satan made me forget to remember
it. It took its course into the sea in a strange (way)!"
(Moses) said: "That is what we have been seeking."
So they went back retracing their footsteps.
Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed
mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us.
Moses said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you
teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have
been taught (by Allah)?"
He (Khidr) said: "Verily! You will not be able to have
patience with me! And how can you have patience about a thing which you know
not?"
Moses said: "If Allah will, you will find me patient,
and I will not disobey you in aught."
He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not
about anything till I myself mention it to you.
So they both proceeded, till, when they were in the ship, he
(Khidr) scuttled it. Moses said: "Have you scuttled it in order to drown
its people? Verily, you have done Imra - a Munkar (evil, bad, dreadful)
thing."
He (Khidr) said: "Did I not tell you, that you would
not be able to have patience with me?"
(Moses) said: "Call me not to account for what I
forgot, and be not hard upon me for my affair (with you)."
Then they both proceeded, till they met a boy, he (Khidr)
killed him. Moses said: "Have you killed an innocent person who had killed
none? Verily, you have done Nukra a great Munkar (prohibited, evil, dreadful)
thing!"
(Khidr) said: "Did I not tell you that you can have no
patience with me?"
(Moses) said: "If I ask you anything after this, keep
me not in your company, you have received an excuse from me."
Then they both proceeded, till, when they came to the people
of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused to entertain them. Then
they found therein a wall about to collapse and he (Khidr) set it up straight.
(Moses) said: "If you had wished, surely you could have taken wages for
it!"
(Khidr) said: "This is the parting between me and you.
I will tell you the interpretation of (those) things over which you were unable
to hold patience.
'As for the ship, it belonged to poor people working in the
sea. So I wished to make a defective damage in it, as there was a king after
them who seized every ship by force.
"And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we
feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief. So we intended
that their Lord should change him for them for one better in righteousness and
near to mercy.
"And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in
the town; and there was under it a treasure belonging to them; and their father
was a righteous man, and your Lord intended that they should attain their age
of full strength and take out their treasure as a mercy from your Lord. And I
did it not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of those (things) over
which you could not hold patience.

HAGIA SOPHIA-an amazing structure
Hagia Sophia |
Maybe some of you don’t know that
Islam once lead Europe that is nowdays more known as a dominant christian
continent. This is prove by buildings in Europe with islamic architecture, one
of them is Hagia Sophia or formerly called Aya Sofya. But there is one unique
fact about this building: at the beginning it was a church, than a Mosque, and
now it’s a museum. How can that happen? Let’s check out!
Hagia Sophia in that means “pure
sagacity”(or in turkish language ‘Aya Sophia’) is an one of the spectacular
icon of Istanbul beside the Blue Mosque. It was built around 15 centuries ago
or at 558 C by Caisar Justianus and took 6 years to be finished. Cool, isn’t
it? The building itself did collapse for several times because of earthquake
but it was built again.
The architecture of Hagia Sophia
is very amazing. The design of the
building is called Byzantium Design and is the best at it’s era. From outside
you can see a huge dome, the high is around 54 meters and it’s diameter is
around 30 meters. If you go inside, you will see a beautiful interior design decorate
with mosaic and fresco carves. People that have visited Hagia Sophia said that it’s
aura is different than other building in Istanbul.
The beautiness of Hagia Sophia wasn't able to be done if there wasn't Anthemios and Isidorus, the architects that designed Hagia Sophia with a new a style. The style was inspired from islamic architecture from persian and syriah. Islamic architects made domes from lighter bricks compared to domes at that time so that it wasn't so expensive. They combined the dome from islamic architecture and a long hall that is normally used in churces.

The Interior view of Hagia Sophia |
Behind the great architecture is
also a great history too. First, Hagia Sophia, as I mentioned above, was meaned
to be a church. The caisar of Byzantium wanted to built a big and fantastic catedral.
It was even called as Holy Wisdom Church. Hagia Sophia was a churh about 10
centuries, or exactly 916 years.
But then at Tuesday, May 29th 1453,
Constantinopel (the name of Istanbul years ago) was occupied by Sulthan Mehmed
II or well known as Muhammad Al-Fatih. Many things was revised by him. Hagia
Sophia changed it’s function to a Mosque and it’s name also changed to Hagia
Aya. The good point from Muhammad Al-Fatih is that he didn’t destroyed the frescos
and images on the wall, he just covered them with calighrapy and removed the
statues. The christianic symbole (cross) on the top was switch with a crescent .
Along the khalifah of Turk Utsmani ruled Hagia Sophia has been renovated and 4
towers has been built.
But sadly, when turkey changed to
a republic, Mustofa Kemal Ataruk made Hagia Sophia as a museum at 1937. Some designs that symbolized Islam was
removed. So, like we can see now, Hagia Sophia contains both Islamic and
Christanic symboles. Because of it’s age and it’s beauty, UNESCO at 1985 assigned
Hagia Sophia as one of the World Herritage Side.
This building is not just
wonderful because it’s great design and history. Behind all of that we can also
learn to tolerate each other even when our religion is different. Muhammad
Al-Fatih made a wise decision to not remove all christian symboles.

MATSWAPATI
Assalamualaikum guys!! Today I want to tell you about
Matswapati, an art and cultural festival that was held by my school, 3 senior high
school Bandung, with a theme ‘Kenali budayamu, cintailah negerimu’ or if you
translate it ‘Recognize your culture, love your country’. Its name was taken
from a ‘wayang’ that is known as the ‘king of wayang’. It was held in the Bali
field near 5 senior high school from 10am until 7pm. But before the event
starts, we joined a parade with some elementary and junior high school students.
Because our class theme was Arjuna, we dressed Davy as Arjuna. After we walked
around for the parade, we watched ‘kuda renggong’, a traditional ritual. But I
didn’t like it very much, because it was a little bit scary.
At 10 o’clock, we entered the Bali field. I and some other
friends were assigned to decorate our stand. If you ask me, I really like to
decorate the stand, because we decorated it together. We painted a big cloth as
background for the photo booth with tribal motive.
Because we aren’t allowed to sell foods, so we got an idea to
sell postcards and make IQ games and photo booth stand. Unexpectedly, many
people tried to solve those puzzles. And at the end of the day we got around Rp
300.000,-. And the most brilliant idea, because Vialita bought a bow, we
allowed people to take a photo with that bow, but with tariff of course.
Back to topic, the rundown of Matswapati was full of cultural
things. The first performance was traditional dancing, wayang, and martial
arts. Then after duhur, the most waited show from some of us, the performances
of us, 3 senior high school, that are KPA3, T’ST, MK3, etc. My favorite is T’ST’s,
because it was really funny and entertaining, even so the wheatear was so hot
and I was so thirsty there. After that there were some games.
Unfortunately, my body was hot and I didn’t feel good at that
time. So I went to my house at afternoon. Because I wanted at least to know like what
the performance was, I interviewed an upperclassman from XI Acceleration. He went
to the festival from the morning with his friends. In his opinion, different than
mornings, Bali field was very crowded at noon. He thought it’s because some
good events were held at night. One of them is the performance of glenn frendly.
The best stand was the Abimanyu stand
that he described as ‘a green colored stand at the corner but quite crowded’. He
self waited at his class’s stand. He said that his stand wasn’t so full because
the position was separated from the other stands.
For me, Matswapati was good, entertaining, and successful. I hope
our next festival can be more successful than this year.

MY UNFORGETABLE MOMENT
Mpush (left) and Ndutch (right) |
How do you do guys? I hope that all of us are in a good
condition. I want to ask you something before you start to read this. You don’t
have to tell me the answer, just answer this by yourself: did you ever have an
unforgetable moment in your whole live, a sad or a happy one? I have many
indeed. But this time Iwant to tell you about a sad one.
It
hapened when I was a fourth grader. When I went to ciwidey with my family, I
and my cousine bought a couple of rabbits. We picked a colored dark gray and a
light brown rabbit. They were named Ndutch and Mpush. A cute name, isn’t it?
Haha
All they did everyday was eating,
sleeping, eating, playing, and eating. They favorite meal are vegetables, such
as carrot and water spinach. But yhey liked to eat
leaves too. Because they eat much, the excrement that comes after that was
pretty much for us. If they lived insides, the unpleasent smell will fill our house. So we moved them outside. But they lived
outsides just for several weeks because it started to rain everyday.
A weird idea to make this |
After thinking for a while, we found
a solution: moving them to the balcony. The idea was simple enough but really
smart. We covered the holes with triplex and cardboard so they won’t fall down.
We put a blanket, a bowl of water, and a some food there. I though they would
be alright.
But one day, in a normal sunny day,
something really sad happen. My male rabbit, Mpush, walked to the roof pass a
small rift. And then he fell down! Oh no! But happily he was saved because he
lands on the soft grass. But the bad ones comes at the end, Ndutch followed her
couple and fell on the asphalt, and sadly she died a day after that tragedy.
Because I was a child back there, I
was really sad because of that accident. I cried the whole day. We burried her
behind our house near the tree. What hapened to Mpush? Because he was leaved
behind by his sweetheart and he was kinda lonely, we bought a new one for him
in lembang. We named her Mpink. After that accident, we moved them back to the
garage. And they lived happily after that.
Not really important, isn’t it? haha.
But I hope you enjoyed reading this. Okay, that was my story. Now, what’s
yours?

my new friend
My New Friend
Welcome back to my blog guys. This
time I’d like to introduce my new friend to all of you, Maria Ervina
Permatasari Santoso. She sit next beside me. Most people call her Maria, because that her first name,
but her family call her with Vina. She was born at June 11th 1999.
Now she lives at Jalan Pinus II number 2. She wears glasses from the fourth
grade, has black long hair, white skin, and she’s pretty tall. A type of person
who is kind and quiet, but really nice.
Maria also has a big sister, Monica
Silvia P. S. who is a scholar in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia,
a.k.a. UPI in Bandung. Right now her sister is studying FIKOM. Maria is really
close to her sister, although it’s more like being annoying than nice. Before
her sister entred colledge they often tell stories to each other. But now, her
sister is so busy, not just because of her colledge, it’s because her sister
has a boyfriend. But for Maria, her sister is always the best.
If ther’s school, she wakes around 5
a.m. in the morning. Because she goes to school with her mother by motorcycle
every day at 5.30 a.m., she just has 30 minutes to prepare for school. She
arrives at school at 5 o’clock or sometimes a little bit after that. After
that, you know, learning until the bell rings. Then, she takes a bath, studies,
eats, prepares for tomorrow. At about 8
o’clock she sleeps. But if there are many homeworks for the next day, then she
sleeps at 9 p.m.
When she is kind of bored, she
usually draws in her book. She likes to draw Patrick, Doraemon, etc. Her favorite subject is English because we just
have learn basic English. But I think Maria is good at English. Her favorite
color is blue and she likes dogs, although she is a little bit scared of dogs.
She has some fish and turtle at her house, but the turtle died. Her idol ow is Maria
Carey. Not because their names are same, I’s because she likes Maria Kerry’s
song and voice.
In some occasion, she goes to
magelang for family meeting. What makes me shocked is that she goes there with
a bus. And she is just accompanied by her old sister. She goes there with bus
because the bus belongs to a friend of her father, so it’s free. A nice
experience, isn’t it?
The last thing that I want to write
about her is her view of SMAN 3. For her, SMAN 3 is ‘miraculous’. There are a
lots of homeworks and it’s full of smart people, but it’s fun because she got
some new friends.

My Autobiography
By: Fadhilla Najmi Qinthara
Hello guys, my name is Fadhilla Najmi Qinthara,
but you can call me Fadhilla or Falla. I was born in Bandung at September 12th 1998. My
parents are Muhammad Suhardjono Firiyanto and Vita sarasi. My mother lectures
economy in the University of Padjadjaran since I was young, and my father is a
consultant in the field of environment. Naufal Ismail Kreshnaviyanto, my only
one sibling, is a scholar in Institute of Technology Bandung. I am the youngest child in my
family. My house is in Konstitusi street number 2, in dago.
Why did i want to go to SMAN 3 Bandung? Before that, let’s
talk a little bitabout my junior highschool, SMP Nurul Fikri Boarding School
Lembang. And from the name you can conclude thatit is a boarding school, or a
place were student live and learn. At the beginning I was a little bit afraid.
Imagine that you live in a place far from your house and family for years. But
at the meantime, when I had got friends, my view about a boarding school
changed. It was really fun there, and I got many new experience too. But at the
end I wanted to try to learn at a normal school again, not in a boarding
school. After I received my national exam scores, I decided to go SMAN 3
Bandung.
I was really happy when I was accepted in SMAN 3 Bandung.
The building is good and there aremany trees and plants. My classmates are
really nice and funny. And what people said about this school is true: there
are no bullies here because the seniors are nice. No wonder that SMAN 3 Bandug
got appreciation for the best school in Indonesia.
My hobbies are reading and
drawing. We can express our feelings by drawing. That is why I like to draw. And
about reading, I like to read comics and books thatare inspiring. My favorite subject is math,
although some people hate it. I like math because math is exact science, so
there are just one answer for each question. And I like it because it is challenging
to find the answer. A weird reason, isn’t it? Favorite food? I almost like
tempe mendoan, spagetti and meatball. If it’s about fruit, I like manggoes and
apples. And my favorite beverage is tea nd juices. Yummy..
When I got a little bit bigger. For
me, beeing a teacher is not just teaching math, science, etc., but it’s more than
that. Teacher are our parents in school who teach us about moral and character.
That’s why teacher is a inspiring and benefical job. After that I want to be a
good mother and live happy until I die. But the most important goal from my
live is happy living after that, inheaven and meet our god and creator, Allah
SWT. Aamiin.
The last thing I want to write is
about my daily activities. I wake up at 4 a.m., or when it’s time to pray
shubuh. After that I prepare to go to school. And before seven o’clock I arive
at the school. There I learn until 1 p.m.. At home I take a rest, and sometimes
I learn too. Usually I sleep approximately at 10 p.m.
